Welcome to Kariboe Valley

Kariboe Valley was established in 1998 and is owned and operated by Mark & Tarsh Allen and their four children, sons, Mac and Will and daughters, Darcie and Bailey. From 1985 to 1998 prior to establishing the stud, Mark and his father ran a high quality purebred red Brahman commercial herd near Miriam Vale.

Kariboe Valley is situated 32km south of Biloela in the Thangool district just off the Burnett Highway, two hours southwest of Rockhampton, the Beef Capital of Australia.

A limited number of females are sold privately.

Kariboe Valley stud herd

The stud herd of comprises of approximately 100 females. There is a strong emphasis on females to be fertile and over many years we have worked tirelessly to cull any underperforming females. The female herd must be structurally sound with good udders and impeccable temperament. A calf every year is a must.

KARIBOE SIRES

Current market drivers have led to the ongoing purchasing of polled genetics in our Sires. Bulls are selected on temperament, structural correctness and tidy underlines. Current sires in use at Kariboe Valley include Samari Plains Benji(PP), Kariboe Valley Ubobo(P) and Nioka Touche(P) as well as our artificial breeding programs

Kariboe breeding program

We currently run at least one IVF program per season and an ongoing AI program. We believe this is an integral part of the beef breeding future. By using superior genetics we aim to strengthen our herd and make rapid, effective gains.

Annual Sales

Bulls are sold annually through the Rockhampton Brahman Week and Charters Towers Big Country sales where the stud has experienced great success over the years.

ROCKHAMPTON BRAHMAN WEEK SALE 2024

The Rockhampton Brahman Week Sale is the largest bull sale in the Southern Hemisphere.

Starting on the first Monday in October the bulls are sold over three days with the grey bulls starting the sale and are followed by the red bulls which commence selling at the completion of the greys on day 2.
